He wants her to be with him and it turns into a lust to be with her and be her at the same time. Throughout his thought process the only way to make her his is to cut her up and stuff her and take on her identity. He does this in his own twisted lovingly way. He tries to make a connection between the girl and himself by wearing women's clothing and makeup.

The woman on the other hand is just an average person going to a party and drinking like everyone else there. Tenchi, Wesley and myself are doing a collaborative movie that all three of us will produce. We are going with the Tenchi's first movie idea that he proposed in class, which is the one about the music video. The idea is that we make a movie that comments on the song "Hey There Delilah," but we add our on lyrics to the instrumental. The script will basically be the lyrics to the song. We have not developed that yet, but we were thinking that we will need around 3- 5 actors. The location will be in Arkansas... well that's what we are working on and we still need to block the scenes.

Lyrics for "Hey There Delilah" Reference for New Film

Hey there Delilah
What's it like in New York City?
I'm a thousand miles away
But girl, tonight you look so pretty
Yes you do
Times Square can't shine as bright as you
I swear it's true

Hey there Delilah
Don't you worry about the distance
I'm right there if you get lonely
Give this song another listen
Close your eyes
Listen to my voice, it's my disguise
I'm by your side

Oh it's what you do to me
Oh it's what you do to me
Oh it's what you do to me
Oh it's what you do to me
What you do to me

Hey there Delilah
I know times are getting hard
But just believe me, girl
Someday I'll pay the bills with this guitar
We'll have it good
We'll have the life we knew we would
My word is good

Hey there Delilah
I've got so much left to say
If every simple song I wrote to you
Would take your breath away
I'd write it all
Even more in love with me you'd fall
We'd have it all

Oh it's what you do to me
Oh it's what you do to me
Oh it's what you do to me
Oh it's what you do to me

A thousand miles seems pretty far
But they've got planes and trains and cars
I'd walk to you if I had no other way
Our friends would all make fun of us
and we'll just laugh along because we know
That none of them have felt this way
Delilah I can promise you
That by the time we get through
The world will never ever be the same
And you're to blame

Hey there Delilah
You be good and don't you miss me
Two more years and you'll be done with school
And I'll be making history like I do
You'll know it's all because of you
We can do whatever we want to
Hey there Delilah here's to you
This one's for you

Oh it's what you do to me
Oh it's what you do to me
Oh it's what you do to me
Oh it's what you do to me
What you do to me.

Final cut for my second movie

What are your final thoughts and how can I improve on this?

Ideaz for the Final Movie

1. For the first movie idea that crossed my mind was to make a version Family Guy the animated cartoon show with really people. The idea would be to create a movie that tries to mimic the same randomness that occurs in the t.v series. This would be a comedy with no doubt about it. I would like to have like small movies within this movie to create the same aesthetic that happens in the movie. I think this needs to be as closely related to the real thing as possible.

2. My second idea was to create recreate Friday the movie, but it's not about black people in the hood... it's about white people in their neighborhood. The storyline will be similar to the movie, but made different by the obstacles and situations that this person gets himself into.

3. My third idea for a movie that I want to do is a martial arts movie. This movie will be about two friends who are forced to fight one another to the death to pass the final stage of their training. Only one can survive.

Rehearsal Write- Up

My rehearsal last Saturday night with my actors went ok, in the idea that everyone understood what I was shooting for. Everyone was cooperative and willing to do what I wanted them to do. I had a lot of trouble keeping up with my actors and making sure that they will be able to make it to the rehearsal. I will for the final video replace an actor because she won't be in town this weekend, so we will see how everyone is able to adapt and continue with the acting. I didn't realize how small my space was and that made me take in account the way my lighting will have to be lit. I know that I want a basic overhead lighting that doesn't really leave shadows because I want the audience to be able to see everything that's going on. We all had fun for the most part, but I wouldn't have really high expectations on this shoot because some of my actors are not that energetic and mood capturing as I would like them. But we'll see how funny it comes out to be.

3/20/08

1. What is unclear about your proposed piece? My piece isn't unclear, but it feels rushed and needs more time added to it.

2. What needs to be further developed? In my discussion, we agreed that to really open my characters up, I may need to add more to scene 4. This is because, the characters don't have a lot of time to really become reality. Also, we were thinking that a official introduction of The Man would really help with the settings.

3. What could be pushed further? My character Ms. Attitude needs to be more a mean person than she is portrayed in the script. I also will need to think about giving The Man more lines so that he becomes more involved in the movie.

4. Describe the overall style/look and feel of your proposed piece. The style that I want to use for this piece is called reality. I want to film this like the audience is right in the middle of the action as if they were standing next to each person. Their won't be a lot of dramatic angles to this movie and the lighting will be more diffused. It would take too long to have reset up after every film cut.

5. What do you wish to translate to the viewer with your chosen “look”? I want to tell the viewer that one doesn't have to be famous to find love and it can be done in your area. This should also comment on the crazy experiences that women go through when they are forced to compete for who they love.

6. How will you achieve this look? I can achieve this by pushing the idea of divided-ness among the three women. I will also need to try to make the host really down to earth and normal.

7. Why is your idea interesting? My idea is interesting because I have taken something that has a lot of public interest as far as entertainment is involved and made something the comments with the same idea of crazy being the word to explain their experiences.

8. Why should it be made? The project should be chosen because of the energy and script breakdown. I broke down the script with a lot detail. Also, it is a remake of Flava of Love.

9. What problems are you encountering during pre-production? How do you plan to troubleshoot? The major problem that I'm encountering is finding enough actors to be able to shoot my movie. I only really have 1 definite actor. To troubleshoot this... I'm going to go around in my dormitory find some people who would be willing to help.

10. Who is crewing for you? I don't know who's crewing for me. I'm thinking about helping "T", so he could help me. Just a thought.

11. What problems did you encounter in video 1? How will you avoid repeating the same problems? The major problem that I encountered in my video 1 was that I had unorganized shots and I was missing the most important scene for about 2 weeks. Hopefully, I will be able to make that up.

Assignment Write-Up

In our last class meeting we were asked a number of questions concerning the idea that we would pursue. In response to those questions, I have chosen to make my next movie with idea #3. Except that I have made a couple of changes to my idea and the way I will be attempting this. I will not shoot myself in this movie, so that I will have more control over the set. As far as other questions asked in class... the audience will be for a mature audience only. The show on t.v. is a competition to gain love from a famous celebrity. I will use that same idea as the basis for my movie, but the difference between the real thing and my movie will be that a ordinary man will be finding love within a group of celebrity women. The movie won't feature as many women, but I will try to get at least three.

Movie Proposal #2

I have chosen - The Remaking of Flava Flav-

1. Film Statement- I want to do remake of Flava Of Love in my way. Basically, the title will be "Art Of Love," and the show will probably last around 15 minutes. This show will be about a young man who is looking for love and his selection of candidates are Memphis College of Art finest women to chose from. Basically the show will see how art students find love.

2. Overview-This movie will be a comedy of how a young man will find Love in a art school. This movie will depict a number and array of women artist who are interested in finding love with whoever the young man is. The competition between the girls will be non-art related competitions that they will have to achieve to win over the man's heart. For starters the competitions will consist of cooking his favorite meal, singing him their favorite song, and who could give him the best booty dance. They will have three tries to to make an impression on him to win a extra time with him in the form of a date. Then they will head to eliminations.
At eliminations he will have one key with his logo on it to give to the winner. Here at the eliminations he will briefly give his reasons for not choosing a particular girl and let her walk out. Every girl who is not chosen will begin to curse him out when they find out they are not chosen too.

3. The form and style- I will carry this idea out by having the women while they are in competitions get into altercations with one another over small insignificant issues. I would like the have the women always in some kind of disagreement, so that it makes living under one roof chaotic. However, because these are art students I will predict that their anger will be portrayed differently. The drama parts of the movie will arise within the eliminations section, and the competitions. I will attempt to have the woman act out with a very outspoken manner in the very last competition where they will booty dance, this will be where the most conflict will arise because the girls are finally starting to feel the man and the women can't stand seeing other women giving the man booty dances. Between competitions I will have small interviewing sessions with each character to add to what that character was thinking in their head at that time.

4. This is movie is intended for an audience seeking comedy and drama/ action. This film will get to my defined audience by posting this on websites such as youtube or my blog.

3 Great Ideaz- Hardly

My first idea for the next project is:
- I would like to film like a action packed martial art's film with really crazy special effects. It would be about two brothers who become sworn enemies. After the big fight one will survive.

The second idea for the next project is:

- I would like to film talk show where I pick what to talk about. The show will be serious/ comedic. A lot of the topics will be made fun of.

The third idea for the next project is: Link
- I would like to film my own version of flava of Love where I'm Playa P and I'm housing a couple of girls in my suite in order to find love. This film will be a comedy.

assignment write-up

The digitizing of the movie went pretty well. I didn't have a lot problem or confusion with the program, but I did have to start over. For the most part I think that what I was able to capture was pretty good.

Character through lighting

I would like to express fear or anger with lighting. I say fear, because I know that form of lighting could of really pushed my movie to another level. Anger for me would just be something fun to experiment with. I choose : Fear

-

These are two images that relate to the kind of lighting that I would like to explore. I think that to really portray fear with lighting one would have to use a key light that was maybe below the talent's face making shadows over their eyelids. I also think that the light will have to be hard enough to make planes on the talents face too. It actually might be better to highlight the back of the talent's back to push him forward. This should be shot maybe indoors under controllable lighting influences such as lamps and flashlights. How does the group feel about this lighting arrangement or idea in general?

video production write-up

I think that the rehearsal from last week before last week, really put things in focus for me. I was able to take control of the actors and direct them in the way that I wanted them to. However, I wasn't able to act how I wanted myself too. Besides from that, I think the video production still has some work to do, but for what I have I think it will turn out to be semi-decent. I was able to control the environment for the most part and use controllable and uncontrollable variables to my advantage. I am actually unhappy with one scene which is with the mad truck driver sliding across the street. Overall, the movie was successful in my opinion.

Lighting Quiz

Question 1:
1.Key- the main source of light; placed on one side about 30 degrees from the subject. To create texture and space on the subject.

2.Fill- Secondary light; softer than key light; opposite side of Key light and camera. To fill in shadows created by the Key Light.

3.Back light-placed behind subject; provides definition and subtle highlights to the subjects outlines. To separate subject from background.

Question 2:
Well for starters, I would establish that the sunlight is the key light source. Then I would use the key light from the sun to fill in sharp shadows produced by the same light, by using a bounce card with one side having aluminum crinkled up and the other side dented in too. The aluminum crinkles will soften the mirror affect that it has from the sun light that bounces off of the card onto the subject.

Question 3:
We would use the 180-degree rule because once it is established, it establishes the viewers point of view of the movie. By violating the rule it throws off the viewers point of view, and breaks their attention because they have jump out to reestablish the point of view that was changed. The rule is basically a half circle imaginary line that the camera doesn't want to cross. the camera can move anywhere along that line and shoot, but not cross.

Rehearsal Response

In response to the video shooting done last Friday, the rehearsal was not very organized on my part because my actors where beginning to make their own decisions concerning my film. One problem that I came across was what they experienced in real life conflicted with my script, so they were less enthusiastic about the acting role given to them. What I have learned was that I really need to break-down every aspect of the movie into small bits and pieces so that there is little confusion concerning the acting or script. At first I wasn't really cuing the actors to begin or end, so that made things really confusing for them. So, I realized that I need to add in action and cut so that they are more aware of what was going on. Also, during the rehearsal one of my actors didn't make it so, I'm kind of iffy about depending on him for the real shoot. I ended up finding a actor for my truck which was fun and exciting for the mere fact that he was actually willing to do anything to recreate the craziness of a out of control truck about to crash. That scene of the movie will need many angles because there is so much that I will need to capture to make that instance the highlight of the final cut. Overall the rehearsal went actually pretty smoothly except for the traffic that I had to deal with on and off, but shooting was fun and adventurous for the most part.

Assignment Write-Up

This assignment beginning to reveal itself to me more and more I think about it. I'm planning on doing mine in a way that is serious/ semi comedic. I want to capture our relationship between one another to open up the mood of the movie. This will also help bring meaning and explain why this experience is special to me. I'm having difficulties with finding a good location that doesn't have heavy traffic to make this shoot and a special effect for the rain. My hook to this movie is the idea that anything can happen at any moment. The second one becomes unguarded or unconscious is when mistakes usually stir up. This was especially true in my case because I was totally drifting into space when this incident was heading in my direction. And the sub-hook if there is a thing is experiences shape the relationships that are built from one to another.

Script Breakdown- Eeeyeahhh!!!

Scene 1:
-I will begin narrating the story- What creates ties and bonds between one individual and another? Experiences that are shared between people creates a sense of relationship and familiarity. This is my story. Opening scene of the car full of friends pulling up to stop sign and loud music is playing. (hopefully I will be able to create rain) other wise it is clear daylight.

Scene 2:
-the next camera shot is in the car facing towards the passengers and driver-
Pierre: " Man...I'm so ready for school to be over with this semester."
Emmanuelle: "Fool.... who are you telling, I'm am like so ready to just graduate."
Joe: Talks about his class
Terrance: Yep.

Scene 3:
-camera from Pierre's point of view, camera will freely drifty.
Terrance: Pierre? I'm really thinking about changing my major next semester.
Pierre: Brah... are you sure? I mean that sounds cool. What are you going to change your major to?
Terrance: I'm really thinking about something in political science. I just don't have a desire to play clarinet anymore. I just can't do it anymore. Plus political science is where my interest is.
Pierre: Do what you have to do brah. Just make the right decisions.

Scene 4:
-Camera shot from the back of the car looking at the stereo system. Emmanuelle turns up the radio.
Chad: It sure is rainin out here/ Alternate: nothing.

Scene 5:
-Camera then changes back to first person Pierre and looks out the window in a daze
Terrance: DUDE LOOK LOOK A TRUCK IS COMING OUR WAY. He is trying to stay calm and raise everyone's awareness at the same time.
-The camera begins turning slightly to the left.
ITS GOING TO RUN THE LIGHT.
-Camera zoom in on terrance and capture his fear and excitement.
Chad: That truck is coming towards us... right their.
Terrance: Ah SHOOT.

Scene 6:
-The Camera zooms in on a fake cardboard box made to portray truck driven by a mad man. The shot flashes in and out with a frame per second feel.
the camera follow the person driving the box as he goes out of control and crashes into something. The camera doesn't catch what. The music that was playing loud then it stops.

Scene 7: Camera shot of the car from the front of the car and we all are looking towards the accident right besides the car. The camera crops the accident part out. This angle should at least capture Emmauelle's and Chad's face. Zoom in on Chad. I begin narrating again: This experience could of cost us our lives. Thank God we were wearing seatbelts. It times like these that allow me to appreciate every moment of my life..., but now I have something that is in common with everyone in that car. We are now closer friends because of it. ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN.

Script Breackdown:
A.
-I will need at around 4 or 5. If I only have four I want to use my self for the crazy driver and I will censor my face.

B.
-Emmanuelle: 2 (Around 1 minute in the movie)
-Pierre: 1 with the exception of First Person Camera mode.
-Terrance: 3 (3-4 minutes
-Chad: 3 (3-4 minutes

C. I will need two locations. The stop sign and a stop light. I may build a intersection.

D. Stunts and special effects
- Slowing down the accident prone truck.
- Person being the blue truck and crashing
-skidding noise from the tires.

E. Special Costumes:
- Person wearing a cardboard box truck. Blue painted.

F. Props
- A vehicle

Camera angles:

Analysis of Script- Notes

A. Character Life Goals and objectives
-Pierre Thornton: Finishing college and graduating with an Animation degree.
Description: Af. American male who doesn't say much unless spoken to. Basically a quiet individual, but goofy and misunderstood.

-Emmanuelle Jones: Finishing college and graduating with a Fashion degree.
Description: Af. American woman who speaks out at everything and anything. Also, she loves rap music and she drives the car.

-Terrance: Finishing college and graduating with a Political Science degree.
Description: Af. American male who usually has a lot to say for no reason. He likes to speak out too, but he isn't as outspoken as Emmanuelle.

-Chad: Finishing college and graduating with a Graphic Design degree.
Description: Af. American male who doesn't say much, unless he has something profound to say. He is a very laid back slow speaking person. Talks a lot under excitement.

Our objective is to reenact a experience from our past that we all experience together, which was a close car accident head on. We are to capture our emotions and reactions that was caused by the sudden awareness of danger coming in our direction.

B. Character Obstacles
-The obstacles that each character will share is the car accident that could harm them or worse, end their lives. We need to make it out of this situation alive to continue pursuing our life goals.

C. Actions to overcome
-Our actions are limited within a vehicle that is stopped at a stop light. We can only wear our seatbelts and yell or scream at the truck coming in our direction. Terrance may stand in excitement and I want him to be the one who raises our alert level and the suspense in the movie.

D. The Means
-Refer back to Letter C.

E. Adjustments after failure
-The actors will brace for impact.

F. Realistic doings
-The actors will engage in the realistic emotions that appear when one's life is in jeopardy, such as fear and excitement or the in-belief that they are involved and affected by a oncoming threat. My plan is to place the actors in a actual car to capture the tangible aspect of realism. The interior of a real car will help viewers build a relationship between their experiences and what will happen in the movie.

Experience #3

I remember…

Being with my friends and riding in the back seat of my college friend’s red cobalt. We were coming from the University of Memphis down poplar because we had just picked up my close friend from high school, Terrance, up to hang out with us and the MCA crew at Metz. This day would prove to be a day to remember, because on this day it was raining cats and dogs every other fifteen-minute interval. The streets were wet and slippery. As I looked through the front windshield I noticed the pounding of the raindrops and it’s intent to distort the vision of the drivers. The windshield wipers even had a hard time knocking the water off.
My friend “E” was moving her head in a musical rhythm while turning her volume dial up. We were inside her car jamming to the hard A** hip hop music that she had playing, driving down the narrow streets of poplar. It’s funny how the mood and emotions of friends can change in a blink of an eye. “E” pulled up to a stop sign right off of Union Ext and Poplar. I was looking out my little window on the right side of the car taking notice of the vast water trails on the side of the street by the side walk going down into the drainage sewers. There were also cars pulling up beside the cobalt nice and slow too. The drivers in the other cars appeared scared and extremely cautious compared to the three people in the car I was sitting in.
Right when I think we about to begin driving again, Terrance beside me begins yelling,
“HEY LOOK… HEY LOOK AT THAT CAR!!!!” Terrance, in fright, tries to stand up in the car and move over towards me while pointing at the car that has began to run a red light. While all of this is going on, it took me a moment to actually tune into what he was yelling about, because I was admiring the wet vast roads and cars. When I shifted my head to the left of the car “E” was beginning raise their voice too saying,
“HE’S COMING RIGHT AT US… HE’S COMING RIGHT AT US!!!” As they begin yelling I caught a glimpse of a blue truck skidding out of control and moving in our direction. The truck was drifting over the wet road. This experience was raising the excitement level in the car to a fright. Chad in the front seat had his mouth just opened with his eyes wide open and focused on the truck skidding. My heart rate at this point starts to increase and I began to wonder could this be the end to coolbrotha007. The blue truck drifts past the car we are in and hits the car behind us to the left head on. By this time the man in the station wagon had to have experienced shock, because the guy in the blue truck hit his car. Chad in the front seat passenger side, breathes deep and says,
“I can’t take no more of this, take me right BACK to Metz.” We all laughed. Terrance called the police and reported the accident while we began our drive back to Metz.

Experience #2

I remember…

My second semester of my freshman year was a complete adrenaline rush thanks to my roommate James Hart. We stayed at Metz and he was placed right in the next room besides mine. One afternoon I was procrastinating after my 9-3 class tired of working, because finals week was approaching. This day, James had invited some friends over to play some video games. Before they began he knocked on my door and invited me to join them in the video game fiesta. I accepted the invitation since I didn’t want to do any work.
James’s friends had a backpack full of video games to choose from. For most the evening I just played what they wanted to play. After playing two games that I had little knowledge about I began to speak my mind, because I was losing.
“I bet, if y’all had a racing game or a fighting game like Need for Speed or Tekken, y’all
wouldn’t win,” I said.
My roommate James moved his attention from staring at the T.V. to looking at me.
“No one can beat me on Need for Speed, because I own that game,” he says with bold confidence. When James said that, I was ready to make a believer out of my new roommate. In my mind, I was the king of racing and he was a pretender. James then rose out of his seat and opened his drawer and lifted out his Need for Speed Black Edition. I was hype that he actually had the game, because it would determine who was better. He then opened the Playstation II (PS2) and put the game in. One of his friends handed me the controller as if he already knew he was going to loose, if he played. I accepted the controller and told James,
“You are really lucky I don’t have my cars to smoke you with, but It doesn’t matter I’m still gonna leave you behind either way. Ha ha,” in excitement. I needed to create my own vehicle because that’s how I usually race. While I made my car on the game he left to the bathroom. By the time he made it back I was just about finished. To me, it didn’t really matter what the car looked like, I was worried about the performance. James then took control of the game and chose the circuit, the laps, and the traffic amount. I stressed that I wanted it to be maximum. He actually agreed with me and said,
“Me too Pierre.” By this stage of the worked up excitement I began to question his skills. The screen displayed the car selection screen where he chose a sky blue cobalt that was maxed out as far as performance was concerned, which made me wonder what kind of opponent picks a cobalt to drive against me. I was the next Jeff Gordon in my mind, so that cobalt better have some speed and he better know how to drive. I mean I’ve played Need for Speed since the first ever made playable game. This game was the game that would keep me up playing at odd hours of the night to death. James had it coming.
The race was about to begin and I’m getting all my trash talk organized for the race because I wanted to rub it in that I was winning. The race begins Three, Two, One, Go! I managed a perfect launch or burnout from the starting line. My car squeals and pushes 0-60 in like three seconds of the race. James and I are head to head and it’s only a matter of time that someone will make a mistake. My left thumb was stiff, yet shaking on the analog, because of the built-up of tension between James and I. Both of us were whipping through the traffic at speeds greater than 140mph. It was at that moment that I began to question my cars ability to keep up with his car. My car was fast, but I couldn’t believe that his car would push 180 to 200 so quickly. In a race that was this high of a tempo it was wise not to blink, or to take my eyes off the screen for a spilt second. Both James and I are realizing one another’s skill at this game. The last lap rolls around and I managed to catch up from my car crashes earlier. Now, we are both neck and neck except he begins to pull off away from me again. I had about half a tank of nos left compared to his empty. What’s the best decision? Bleed my nos to catch up and gain first place now and hope that I don’t wreck, or conserve for just in case, we both wreck so that I could get a jump off from a stop and go. My hands were beginning to sweat and my eyes started to dry out. I haven’t blinked for about 7 minutes. My heart was pounding and the sound of my car’s engine put me in a trance that wouldn’t stop until the race was over. I began to lean forward in my seat and to get uncomfortable in hopes to better my chances of winning. James manages to refill his nos tank to about half, and my tank was almost full. Now he’s rubbing the side of my car. I bled my nos to gain some distance, but he’s doing the same. Both of us where not breathing for the last 15 seconds of the game. Cars were flashing before my eyes and my vision got blurred. That’s when I crashed in an on-coming vehicle allowing James to take the lead and win the race that left everyone speechless there after.

Experience #1

The Morning

I remember…

On a Tuesday morning, I was sleeping on the sofa downstairs of my parents house, anticipating the alarm of my phone to vibrate at any second. My dreams had stopped and I was half asleep, with traveling flying through my mind over and over again. My unsoundly sleep (caused by impatience) forced me to open my eyes and take a glance at how long I should expect to wait. I opened my phone and I had 10 minutes longer to sleep.

The alarm woke me this time with an unpleasant vibrating noise that I could hear going through the sofa. I awakened and began to gaze off in my brother’s direction who was sleeping at the other end of the sofa. He was balled up in the little corner of the sofa with this light bed sheet covering him that obviously didn’t keep him warm, because he had his toes curled into the sheet as if trying to keep air from coming in and getting out. After looking at my brother for a while, I raised my body up and thought to myself, it is way too early while stretching my body and cracking my bones. I slowly moved the bed sheet cover away from me, stood to my feet, and slipped on my vans. The floor was cold and the bathroom was running through my mind. Then, I used my right leg to ease the glass table besides the sofa out of the walk way and started my way towards the bathroom door being careful not to trip over unnoticed toys from my little brothers room. On my way to the bathroom, light from behind me begun to pass through the window into the room, which aided my vision in guiding me through the room. The bathroom wasn’t far but the chance of falling was at a high risk because of the scattered shoes and small walk space to walk through. So, when I made it to the bathroom, I closed the door barely and proceeded towards the toilet where I raised the seat and zipped my zipper down.

After I finished my business in the bathroom I came out and told my brother to wake up. He moved and rolled over in just to let me know he heard me. I went upstairs straight to my parent’s room where I saw my mother sitting up watching T.V. Slowly I entered into the room and spoke saying, “ good morning momma.”
She replied, “hey son,” while I began to take a seat on her bed. She then asked if I slept well and if I was ready.
I said, “Yeah I’m as ready as I’m gonna be.” My mother started tilting her head down to stare in her lap and begun to rotate her round and round. Her sudden change in her expression made me wonder what was the matter. So, I gave her a hug and whispered in her ear that I love her. She smiled and hugged me back while saying it back then she asked me if I had EVERYTHING ready downstairs and if I had remembered to pack my itinerary. I nodded yes while saying of course. (I lied) Then I stood up and said let me wake my brother up and start loading the car so we don’t waste time.
My mom replied, “Ok son,” while I left her room.

On my way to my room I grabbed the itinerary that my mom mentioned earlier about on the computer desk and went downstairs to pack it. My brother was still laid out on the bed half asleep, so I spoke and said, “It’s time to go.” He slid the bed sheet off his body with his feet, and raised his body in the upright position. After rubbing his eyes he gazed at the floor and put his shoes on. At the same time I was grabbing my lugged and placing the itinerary in the front pocket of one of my suitcases. We both put our jackets on next and proceeded up the stairs going towards the front door. Tori, my sister, finally came out of her room at this time dressed and ready. I said to her, “Good morning Ughh!” (A nickname I gave her). She glared at me and frowned sending a message that she wasn’t in the mood. I chuckled and said, “We have to leave soon and be on our way by six o/clock. She then proceeded to the bathroom and closed the door. I then took my luggage to the car and started the car. When I made it back into the house, I could hear mom and my sister debate on who was going to take me. My sister argued her points and my mom argued hers. With all this was going on my brother sat on the piano and begun playing. This moved me to sit down and wait on them to make a decision. The next thing that I knew, Tori was leaving the room and heading towards out the front door to the car. I told my mother bye for the last time and thank you. I signaled my brother it’s time to leave and he hit the piano button and headed towards the door. He asked me, as we were leaving,
“What time does your flight leave?” while closing the front door behind him.

Place To ME !!!

Constructing this video was moderately difficult for me, in the sense that I knew that I wanted it to be simple and not very complex. I had limited time and I had to use the school property. Plus, I didn't just want to post something, so everyone would think to themselves.... what the heck. So with all that in mind, the simplest action that came to mind was to just have me sit in front of the camera and read an outline of what I felt place meant to me. I wanted to approach the project with a comedic feel but seriousness at the same time. I also knew that my eyes would move so, I deleted that variable by covering my eyes to change the mood.

After shooting the short film I realized that their could have been much more acting and subtle changes in me, that really could of boosted my projects outcome. I will admit I was nervous because I wanted it to be perfect, but I knew that my projects will improve upon the next time. I will say, that I learned that simple is sometimes better.

"A Sense of Place"

A sense of place is what I would describe as where one belongs or where one may come from or where one wants to be. To be a person in a place would mean to have a sense humanity and a sense of position within a space or environment. Many people question their own space.
