Rehearsal Response
In response to the video shooting done last Friday, the rehearsal was not very organized on my part because my actors where beginning to make their own decisions concerning my film. One problem that I came across was what they experienced in real life conflicted with my script, so they were less enthusiastic about the acting role given to them. What I have learned was that I really need to break-down every aspect of the movie into small bits and pieces so that there is little confusion concerning the acting or script. At first I wasn't really cuing the actors to begin or end, so that made things really confusing for them. So, I realized that I need to add in action and cut so that they are more aware of what was going on. Also, during the rehearsal one of my actors didn't make it so, I'm kind of iffy about depending on him for the real shoot. I ended up finding a actor for my truck which was fun and exciting for the mere fact that he was actually willing to do anything to recreate the craziness of a out of control truck about to crash. That scene of the movie will need many angles because there is so much that I will need to capture to make that instance the highlight of the final cut. Overall the rehearsal went actually pretty smoothly except for the traffic that I had to deal with on and off, but shooting was fun and adventurous for the most part.
